Earth’s Eternal Existence
He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved. (Psalm 104:5)
Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth and it endures. (Psalm 119:90)
Let them praise the name of the LORD, for he commanded and they were created. He set them in place for ever and ever; he gave a decree that will never pass away. (Psalm 148:5-6)
Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness like the stars for ever and ever. (Daniel 12:3-4)
These verses tell us that the earth is destined for an eternal existence. Things will be transformed but not obliterated, as attested to by the following:
But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness. (2 Peter 3:13)
