The INSTITUTE for CREATION SCIENCE Sunday, August 22, 2010 Meeting 5:00 to 7:00 PM “Archaeopteryx Update”
From November 2008 to November 2009, J.D. Mitchell conducted original research concerning the fossil lifeform known as Archaeopteryx. This fossil is variously described as “The Most Important Fossil in the World,” “The Most Famous Fossil in the World,” “The Most Beautiful Fossil in the World,” and “The Poster Child of Evolution.”
At the August meeting of ICS, J.D. will interpret the findings of new secular research on Archaeopteryx which has surfaced since the 2009 release of his DVD titled “Archaeopteryx—What Was It?” Come to this meeting and see if you agree that this new research reinforces his position that Archaeopteryx was not a transitional form or a bird; and leaves open the possibility that those specimens of Archaeopteryx with feather imprints are frauds.
Secularists will never be able to accept biblical Christianity until they reject the common ancestor and replace it with the Common Designer of the universe! On the other hand, Christians can be assured that true science is consistent with God’s Word from the very first verse!

At the July meeting of the Institute for Creation Science you are invited to take a thousand mile automobile journey with J.D. and Bonnie Mitchell through the state of Kentucky.
You will be able to see their PowerPoint augmented report on such natural attractions as Big Bone Lick State Park and Mammoth Cave National Park. Join their discussion of The Creation Museum, The Louisville Zoo, Dinosaur World, Fort Knox, Abraham Lincoln’s Birthplace, Daniel Boone’s Gravesite, the Kentucky State Capital, covered bridges and other historical sites in this beautiful state. The presentation will highlight the differences between their presupposition driven biblical creationist interpretations of many of these attractions and the evolutionary interpretations in place at most of our tax supported venues. . The INSTITUTE for CREATION SCIENCE Sunday, June 27, 2010 Meeting 5:00 to 7:00 PM “Genetics, Evolution, and Creation”
More and more evolutionists are saying that recent discoveries in the field of genetics are proof for common ancestry of life on earth. For this month’s ICS meeting, please join Dr. Georgia Purdom for a discussion of these assertions (via DVD). Dr. Purdom has a Ph.D. in molecular genetics and will provide a layman’s overview of current “hot” topics in Genetics.
Dr. Purdom will present a creation scientist’s perspective of such topics as “mitochondrial Eve,” proposed human chromosome 2 fusion, ancient repetitive elements (AREs), gene duplication, and beneficial mutations. She will demonstrate that these “proofs” of evolution are nothing of the kind and can easily be explained from a biblical worldview. . The INSTITUTE for CREATION SCIENCE Sunday, May 23, 2010 Meeting 5:00 to 7:00 PM “Camouflage in Nature Requires a Designer”
At the May meeting of ICS, Rick Thompson will give a PowerPoint presentation consisting of photographs and quotes showing that camouflage is not necessarily a survival technique and could not have simply evolved over millions of years. With hundreds of examples of camouflage and mimicry, Rick will show the wide variety and types of deception found in nature, and ask thought provoking questions about its purpose. He will demonstrate how his findings exhibit design which logically requires a Designer.
Rick is an Oregon-born artist, entertainer, writer and self-taught geologist who loves to share the beauty of the great Northwest. He was asked to prepare a presentation on camouflage and became so amazed that it engrossed his time for over a year and revealed much more than he expected.

The INSTITUTE for CREATION SCIENCE Sunday, March 28, 2010 Meeting 5:00 to 7:00 PM “The Evolution of Darwin—His Science”
We have just completed 2009, the “Year of Darwin” where his anti-biblical ideas were celebrated by literally millions in our culture (and unfortunately in the Church as well) as the revolutionary foundation for science and philosophy. For this month’s ICS meeting, please join biologist Dr. David Menton (via DVD) if you want to understand how today’s science confirms the truth of God’s Word, and not the faulty ideas of Darwin.
Dr. Menton examines such topics as: the struggle for existence, natural selection, mutations, the geologic record, and homology. Throughout his DVD presentation, Menton evaluates the claims of evolution in light of evidence discovered since Darwin’s time. Menton also explains how he was able to teach university level courses in biology and anatomy for decades without ever having to bring up the evolutionary paradigm.
