Living Honorably

Pray for us. We are sure that we have a clear conscience and desire to live honorably in every way. (Hebrews 13:18)

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:17, 21)

Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things. (Philippians 4:8)

For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord, but also in the eyes of men. (2 Corinthians 8:21)

To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. (Titus 1:15)

These are instructive passages not only during the election cycle, but always. While it is not likely many candidates would adhere to these words of advice, the believer surely must!
