Millstones Around their Necks

But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” (Luke 18:16)

I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. (Matthew 18:3-6)

For some time now I have been recommending against Christian parents sending their children to public schools in America. Public school teaching has become totally founded on atheism over the past 50 years so that each child is taught evolutionism from the very first day, prayer is outlawed, and the one true God is rejected. Home schooling is the best choice and Christian schools the second best choice these days.

Parents who send their kids to public schools are hindering them in their ability to stay in the faith. There is no wonder that the culture is bowing to immorality since so many kids have been indoctrinated to sin and untruth by the education system over the past several decades.

Who is it that should have the millstones hung around their necks? Primarily it is the parents who allow for this abominable education of their children.

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:4)
