CEC STATEMENT OF FAITH

Science is knowledge and even those who say they are atheists have faith in something. Creation Engineering Concepts (CEC) was founded in 2004 on the belief that Jesus Christ is the Creator God of the universe and as such is the supreme scientist and engineer. The universe looks designed because it is!

We hold that the Holy Bible is God’s inspired Word and is accurate and inerrant in its original autographs. Chapters 1-11 of the book of Genesis are foundational to the Christian faith and are historical narrative. God created everything in the beginning in six 24-hour days less than 7,000 years ago. Most of the fossils in the sediments of the earth’s crust are a result of the worldwide Flood at the time of Noah; an awful judgment of God about 4,500 years ago.

We believe that the Bible teaches that as a result of Adam’s Fall in the Garden of Eden all mankind is separated by sin from the Creator God. Mankind’s only path to reconciliation with God is through acceptance of the Redeemer Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior. This Jesus who died on the cross for mankind’s sin is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Jesus. (John 14:6)

We believe the Bible teaches that God has provided mankind with two revelations of His existence and His Power. His General Revelation (the Creation) is available to everyone. His Special Revelation (the Bible) is also readily available. Creation science is the study of how these two revelations can be understood to be perfectly correlated.

Definitions:

Creationists and biblical apologists are often maligned because certain important words are misunderstood, misconstrued, or incorrectly translated. In an attempt to keep communications as clear as possible, several of those important words are defined below according to their meanings as generally applied to topics touched on by this ministry.

Apologetics: A branch of Christian theology devoted to the defense of the divine origin of the Bible. The word “apologetics” is based on the Greek word apologia which means answer, and a foundational Scripture verse reads: But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. (1 Peter 3:15 NIV).

Evidence: Something that makes another thing clear or able to be interpreted.

Fact: A reality; truth.

Fairy Tale: An unbelievable story, a lie, or made-up story.

Faith: The condition of being certain of something hoped for and/or certain of something not demonstrated by observation or scientific experiment. [Everyone has faith in something.]

Interpretation: An explanation using certain presuppositions.

Knowledge: The fact or state of knowing, or the body of facts accumulated by mankind.

Presupposition: Something supposed or assumed beforehand. The accumulated presuppositions of a person are the foundation for his or her worldview.

Science: Systemized knowledge derived from observation or study. True science relies on proper use of the scientific method.

Science, falsely so-called: In the Bible (1 Timothy 6:20 KJV) we read, O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so-called. Similarly, the Apostle Paul writes (Colossians 2:8 KJV), Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Science, falsely so-called is rampant in much of what is called science these days. It can be identified by ivory tower pronouncements and grandiose extrapolations. Historical geology, deep time hypotheses, the evolutionary paradigm, and cosmological theories are riddled with science, falsely so-called. In these fields critical thinking is replaced with authority-based indoctrination. Science falsely so-called has no requirement for adherence to the scientific method or to discernable reality.

Secularism: The anti-Christian view that true knowledge can only be found through rational or empirical means. Secularists live their lives with an orientation toward the present world only, as opposed to living from the perspective that life is everlasting.

Truth: That which is true and matches reality. Jesus Christ says, “I am the way, the truth and the life.” ( John 14:6)

Worldview: The way a person looks at the world or his perception of reality based on his basic presuppositions about what is true. Every worldview, whether expressly religious or supposedly non-religious, is a belief system that begins with presuppositions held by faith. The major worldviews at war in the Western world today are the Secular versus the Biblical Christian.

The Biblical Christian worldview foundationally conflicts with science, falsely so-called, but does not conflict with objective truth. The Secular worldview promotes science, falsely so-called, relies on the word of men, and therefore does not accomodate the Word of God.
