If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives. (1 John 1:8-10)

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

These verses apply to each and everyone of us and are foundational to our understanding of the Good News. Due to our sinful nature it is difficult, if not impossible, for us to determine which of our actions are sinful. Thankfully, Jesus the sinless one has provided us with help through his Word. The Bible explains what sin is and tells us things we should do and things we should not do.

How tragic then, that so many Christian denominations continue to follow the perverted ideas of men and reject the plain directives of the Bible. They claim to know that the Bible's sin is not really sin and in so doing make Christ out to be a liar.

It does not seem likely, either, that there will be any confessions from these denominations forthcoming any time soon. Come, Lord Jesus!
