For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. (2 Corinthians 5:10)

Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day – and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. (2 Timothy 4:8)

And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. (1 Peter 5:4)

From these verses and others (e.g. 1 Corinthians 9:25, 1 Thessalonians 2:19, James 1:12, Revelation 2:10) the Bible tells the saint that he will receive crowns and rewards in heaven. What are we to do with these crowns and rewards. Perhaps a hint is offered in these verses:

The twenty-four elders fall down before him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” (Revelation 4:10-11)

Amen.
