“Rejoice in that day [of rejection] and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their fathers treated the prophets.” (Luke 6:23)

Who is it that will receive this great reward?

“Blessed  are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.” (Luke 6:22)

It [each man’s work] will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man’s work. If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames. (1 Corinthians 3:13b-15)

In order to be saved, we must just accept God’s grace offered us through Christ Jesus. But, our life’s work here on earth will be judged in heaven and rewarded according to its value.

“Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.” (Revelation 22:12)
