Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance. (Romans 5:3)

Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. (Romans 5:11)

You became imitators of us and of the Lord; in spite of severe suffering, you welcomed the message with joy given by the Holy Spirit. (1 Thessalonians 1:6)

But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. (1 Peter 4:13-14)

Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy. (John 16:22)

In these last days there are times when the believer may find it difficult to be joyful. But the Bible offers much encouragement such as in the verses above. So, let us rejoice!
