It is common for Christians to use the WWJD saying to help cope with difficult decisions in their daily lives. However, let's take a look at what Jesus really did for us:

For it is commendable if a man bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because he is concious of God. But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. (1 Peter 2:19-21)

How difficult it can be to follow Christ in our daily behavior especially toward sceptics and mockers. If we are wronged it seems natural that we need to get back at the person or persons who have injured us. But this is not what Jesus would do nor what Jesus did as He bore our sins on the cross! And, the Bible tells us His actions are an example that we should follow.
