Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)

Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. (James 3:1)

In Galatians 1:18 Paul wrote that he took three years of study before he started preaching the gospel. We can assume this was his full-time job during that period. It took him another fourteen years of preparation before he was accepted by the other apostles as ready to tackle his main mission of taking the gospel message to the gentiles (Galatians chapter 2).

Most Christians would expect that their preachers and teachers would have similar adequate education and training in the Bible.

How much preparation does God require for someone to write a weekly blog such as the “Biblical Interpretation”? All that I can answer is that I humbly understand the seriousness of attempting such a task and pray that my education, training and faith are adequate and that I will prove to have been acceptable at the time of judgment.

I am very thankful for those of you who pray for me as I write these weekly blog posts and I ask for your continuing prayers.
