How shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. (Hebrews 2:3)
For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. (1 Peter 1:18-19)
And once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him. (Hebrews 5:9)
It is so very astounding that so many ignore or reject the great eternal salvation that has been offered to them by the Lord Jesus Christ. Our culture is hell bent on rejecting God and we are reaping the fruits of these poor decisions and actions with increasing immorality and national decline.
But, the acceptance of the gift of salvation is an individual choice not dependent on the will of any majority. That is good news beyond measure.
