Foreigners sap his strength, but he does not realize it. His hair is sprinkled with gray, but he does not notice. (Hosea 7:9)

I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm – neither hot nor cold – I am about to spit you out of my mouth. (Revelation 3:15-16)
The people of Hosea's day, the Jewish leaders at the time of Jesus, and the church at Laodicea all had every reason to be knowlegeable of God, His plans, and his sovereignty over the universe. But, they exhibited arrogant ignorance time after time with the resulting dire consequences.
In America today much of the Church is doing the same thing; and that is carrying over to the demise of the country as a whole. There have always been consequences in the past, and there will be consequences in the future, if the Church continues on its paths of apostasy and compromise.
