Design means that the components within an object are arranged in such a way as to accomplish some useful or artistic purpose. By this definition, the earth with all of its interrelated systems shows design. The “Law of Teleology” is a principle of logic that has to do with design or purpose in nature. This law of science states that where there is complex and interdependent design, there must be a designer. Both the religious and the nonreligious have been forced to acknowledge this principle.
Intelligent functional design demands a designer. Therefore, whenever design is discovered in the fabric of Earth's environment, one would have to conclude, if intellectually honest, that there must be a grand Designer ultimately reponsible for this design.
