The Bible says God put man in the garden of Eden and told him to tend and keep it (Genesis 2:15). Where man does this properly, nature flourishes. Innumerable problems develop whenever man neglects his environment by overusing natural resources or polluting the air, ground, or water. This results in resources being used up, plants and animals becoming extinct, sickness abounding, and nature's beauty being destroyed.
God has given perfect examples in nature to show us how He takes care of His earth. For example, water is purified by the water cycle, seeds are spread and fertilized by animals, animals live in symbiosis by helping each other, and plants provide medicine. It is only when man “works and takes care” of the earth as God intended that ecology is not a problem.
