O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD. (Psalm 139:1-4)

We cannot hide anything from God. He knows more about us than even we do! There is no excape from God. This knowledge can at first thought be scary at the least. But, then we read:

For you created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (Psalm 139:13-14)

God has a right to know us! He is the Creator of not only each of us but the whole universe. God took a personal interest in each of us before we even knew a thing about Him! And He provided us with the perfect sacrifice so that we might not die but have an opportunity of a renewed relationship that had been destroyed by our sin.

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:6-8)
