For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:17)

And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be Savior of the world. (1 John 4:14)

They [some Samaritans] said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man is the Savior of the world.” (John 4:42)

For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. (John 12:47b)

From these verses, and others in the Bible, we learn that Jesus was expressly sent to save the world according to the plan of the Father. Instead of sending another cataclysm to destroy the world because of the evil of men, God chose to send his Son to act as a saving sacrifice for their sin.

But, the Bible also tells us that each person of the world must individually make a decision to accept this most gracious and loving offer of salvation!

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. (John 3:18)

Have you made that lifesaving decision?
