Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. (Psalm 1:1-2)

The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. (Psalm 19:7)

So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good. (Romans 7:12)

So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law… (Romans 7:21-22)

But, with the new covenant we learn how to receive salvation and that it cannot come from or through the law:
For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. (James 2:10)

Jesus said: Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least  stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. (Matthew 5:17-18)

So we are told to delight in the Law, to allow it to revive our souls, to meditate on it day and night. Because of the work of Jesus on the cross the Law is no longer a burden but a delight to those who love it!
