My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children. (Hosea 4:6)
This old charge against Israel can today be leveled against much of America. People who reject God's word are in effect rejecting knowledge and truth. In Proverbs 1: 7 we read, The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
Today, the secular humanism that is the favored religion of our public educational institutions and our mainstream media is foolishly leading many people the wrong way – away from God. According to 2 Corinthians 4:4, The god of this age [Satan] has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
Many think that Christianity, like other religions, is driven by emotion, but that is untrue. It is a thinking-person's belief system where one can learn the one true God's will and his plan by hearing and then coming to know his laws that he created for the benefit of all people.
I urge everyone reading this blog today to heed this important message and accept knowledge instead of rejecting it.
