After John [The Baptizer]was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee proclaiming the good news of God. “The Time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!”
(Mark 1:14-15)

In Acts 26:20 Paul says, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds.

In Acts 20:21 we read, I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.

So it is abundantly clear from God's Word that believers need both repentance from sin and faith in Christ – not just one or the other.
