But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. (Philippians 3:20-21)
This is an amazing verse with a fantastic promise. In this world our bodies are controlled by natural forces. When we become “like Christ” our resurrected bodies will no longer be confined, controlled or limited by nature. What a transformation!
In John 20:19 and 26 we are told that the resurrected Christ was able to pass through locked doors. Obviously the spiritual realm is different from the natural. Christ is now in heaven and believers await his return from there to earth to take them home to be with him.
We celebrate the fact that Christ was dead and is now alive for ever and ever! (Revelation 1:18) And, we that believe will be alive in the same way according to the promises of God's Word.
