Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowlege him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

As the familiar hymn goes, “When we walk with the Lord, in the light of his Word, what a glory he sheds on our way. While we do his good will, he abides with us still, and with all who will trust and obey.”

Similarly James 1:5-6 reads, If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

So in all of our ways we must acknowledge God and trust in him. We must believe and not doubt. We must stay in the Word, obey its teachings, and our prayers will be answered and our paths will be made straight!
