If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:15)
But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars – their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death. (Revelation 21:8)
He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power. (2 Thessalonians 1:8-9)
Then he will say to those on his left, “Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” (Matthew 25:41)
It is in vogue in many churches these days to completely ignore any discussion of the topic of Hell. Obviously the above verses (only a sampling) make it clear that way of thinking is not biblical. Hell is a reality and definitely a place to be avoided!
