Psalms 19 and 119 are filled with praise for God's Word. After exclaiming in Psalm 19 that everyone has seen God's glory in his General Revelation (the Creation), the psalm next speaks about God's Special Revelation.

The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the LORD are sure and altogether righteous. (Psalm 19:7-9)

Psalm 119:105 also speaks to the everyday help of God's word: Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

And, there are many other verses such as the following:

Man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. (Deuteronomy 8:3)

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. (1 Peter 1:23)

Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:17)

So the word of God promises great life-help. Why not take advantage of this help by actually using it each and every day?
