In the Christian walk sometimes it seems like it is impossible to determine our proper priorities. What should we do first and what should be delayed for another time are common questions we regularly face. The following verses may help.

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33)

First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come scoffing and following their own evil desires. (2 Peter 3:3)

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared [to many]. (1 Corinthians 15:3-5)

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone — (1 Timothy 2:1)

So, our committment to godly behavior, our awareness of the times, our understanding of the importance of the gospel message, and our prayers of intercession and thanksgiving are among those things that have very high priority according to the God's Word.
