To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. “He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.” When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. (1 Peter 2:21-24)
What is man that you make so much of him, that you give him so much attention, that you examine him every morning and test him every moment? (Job 7:17)
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! (1 John 3:1a)
Christians have a personal God! We can have a close relationship to our triune God through prayer and Bible study. And, it is obvious from Scripture and science that man is far above the animals and the rest of the creation. We were created for this personal relationship. We did not evolve and are not evolving in the sense communicated by the secular culture. Man was made in God's image, but a main reason so many reject the Creator is that His love for us as shown by Christ's sacrifice is unfathomable.
This is where faith comes in.
