As I looked, “thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze.” (Daniel 7:9)

Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me and I will be whiter than snow. (Psalm 51:7)

There was a violent earthquake, for the angel of the Lord came down from heaven, and going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. (Matthew 28:2-3)

His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. (Revelation 1:14)

Freshly fallen snow is a clear natural expression of pure white and white is given in these verses as a symbol of holiness.

Father, thank you for forgiving our sins through the work of your Son. Now we too can be considered as “white as snow.”
