God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you.” (Exodus 3:14)
Here God the Father tells us he is the eternal, self-existing One. In a similar manner Jesus Christ the Son claimed He was and is God:
1. John 8:58, Before Abraham was born, I am.
2. John 6:35, I am the bread of life.
3. John 8:12, I am the light of the world.
4. John 10:7, I am the gate for the sheep.
5. John 10:11, I am the good shepherd.
6. John 11:25, I am the resurrection and the life.
7. John 14:6, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
8. John 15:1, I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.
It is often said Jesus is either a liar, a lunatic or Lord and the above eight biblical statements are strong evidence for that. Those who take Jesus as some sort of an intelligent human philosopher gain no support for their position from the Bible.
