For we will all stand before God's judgment seat. It is written: “As surely as I live,” says the Lord, “every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.” So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God. (Romans 14:10b-12)
Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment… (Hebrews 9:27)
For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. (Hebrews 10:30-31)
How important it is here on earth, in the short time we have, to properly prepare to meet God! And, we can be prepared to meet the living Creator and his judgment of us only through a relationship with the Lord Jesus. It is so simple and yet so very profound.
He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.” (Revelation 14:7)
