To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:7-10)

It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees. (Pslam 119:71)

I know you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. (Revelation 3:8) [Jesus to the Church in Philadelphia]

From these verses we are reminded that our salvation and our eternal strength come from the grace of Christ. These are sufficient no matter the situation we find ourselves in while here on earth. We can delight in all things as did the Apostle Paul and the psalmist.
