Thanks be to God!

But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57)

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. (2 Corinthians 2:14)

Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! (2 Corinthians 9:15)

So through Christ we are given everything we need. We are given peace in life. We are given joy in life. We are given victory over death for eternity.

Why would God do this for us?

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
