His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. (Revelation 1:14)
This verse provides a description of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a decription of him in his glorified body…we do not have a physical description of Jesus on earth from the gospel writers or from any other reliable source. The Jesus portraits hanging on the walls of churches and homes are purely speculative.
Why is this the case?
The probable reason is that Christ came for all people no matter their skin color and no matter to which people group they belong.
If there had been a detailed description of what Jesus physically looked like, then we can expect that those today who look most like his physical description would tend to take pride in that and hold it over others.
Again, the Bible has a marking of being God-inspired, for Jesus is available for people of all descriptions!
