Say among the nations, “The LORD reigns.” The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity. (Psalm 96:10)

The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. (1 John 2:17)

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)

In these last days it seems that people can and do believe anything excepting for the gospel truth. So many are blinded by the god of this age who distracts them through smoke, mirrors and worthless promises that have no lasting value.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18)
